Each year Voyageurs National Park hosts a variety of special events designed to enhance the park's standard programs and provide exciting opportunities to learn about and experience the park. Whether you would like to join knowledgable experts in learning about the many types of birds that make use of the lakes, wetlands and uplands of the park, or just bring the family out for a day of park-themed fun, we have a special event designed for you. Special Events in 2006

National Park Week
A week of special school programs, a special exhibit of children's artwork, a youth art contest with prizes, and an Open House on Saturday, April 22nd with fun activities, and an award ceremony.
April 22-30, 2006

Birders Rendezvous
A weekend to watch for the return of migrating birds, listen to special speakers,
or go on guided hikes, canoe trips and boat tours.
June 2-4, 2006

Autumn Rendezvous
A weekend to celebrate the changing seasons while enjoying special activities
for the whole family at the Kabetogama Lake and Ash River Visitor Centers.
August 26-27, 2006
