Lake States Interpretive Association (LSIA) is a non-profit organization, incorporated in 1976, which aids in building public understanding and appreciation of natural and cultural resources in the Lake States Region.
Congress authorized "cooperating associations" to prepare, produce and distribute publications and other materials for the education of visitors to federal areas. All revenues are used to support historic, scientific and educational activities. All proceeds from the sales of these materials are used to support educational and interpretive projects in Voyageurs National Park and Chippewa and Nicolet National Forests.
Lake States knits together the broad interpretive needs of the Region. A critical element in the future success of Lake States Interpretive Association is a strong, diverse membership. Won't you join us in our efforts to enhance the public understanding and appreciation of the Lake States Region?
