51^st Tennessee Infantry

This unit was attached to Brig. Gen. John Gregg's Brigade of Maj. Gen. Franklin Gardner's 3rd Military District at Port Hudson, LA , Lt. Gen. John C. Pemberton's Department of Mississippi and East Louisiana and was commanded by Lt. Col. John Snodgrass. When Gregg's Brigade was transferred north the regiment remained behind at Port Hudson.
