Monument and iron tablet located outside of Vicksburg National Military Park on former
park property in the City of Vicksburg, on the hill east of the intersection at Wisconsin
Avenue and John Allen Street. This unit was attached to Brig. Gen. Jacob G. Lauman's 4th
Division, Maj. Gen. Cadwallader C. Washburn's XVI Army (Detachment) Corps, assigned to
XIII Army Corps and commanded by Lt. Anthony B. Burton.
