7th Battalion Mississippi Infantry
| Monument located on Confederate Avenue across from Tilghman statue. This unit was
attached to Brig. Gen. Louis Hébert's 1st Brigade of Maj. Gen. John H.
Forney's Division, Lt. Gen. John C. Pemberton's Army of Vicksburg and was commanded by
Capt. A.M. Dozier. [Refer to Edwin Bearss' The Vicksburg Campaign, Volume I, page
226 and Volume III, pages 779, 870 & 965.] |
