This unit was attached to Brig. Gen. Winfield S. Featherston's 3rd Brigade of Maj. Gen. William Wing Loring's Division, Gen. Joseph E. Johnston's Army of Relief, Department of the West and was commanded by Capt. Stephen Charpentier. [Refer to Edwin Bearss' The Vicksburg Campaign, Volume III, page 1151.] No Marker or Monument
