Fees

Entrance Fees: Entrance to the park grounds and gardens is free of charge.

User Fees: An $8.00 user fee for adults includes a Guided Tour of Vanderbilt Mansion. Children ages 16 and under are admitted free of charge. All visitors (including children) must have a tour reservation ticket in order to join a Guided Tour. Access to the Vanderbilt Mansion is by guided tour only. Guided tour reservation tickets for the Vanderbilt Mansion are issued at the Visitor Center at the site. Families or individuals may also reserve ahead by contacting our Reservation Center at 1-800-967-2283 or by secure website at http://reservations.nps.gov. Reservations are accepted up to five months in advance. Golden Age Passports, Golden Access Passports, Golden Eagle Passports, and National Park Passes provide for free entry to any available tour at the Roosevelt-Vanderbilt historic sites. In addition, the accompanying spouse and children of the cardholder will be admitted without charge. A $7 fee, person, applies to the FDR Library and Muiseum.

Group rates:  The site is a very popular tourist attraction in Hyde Park, especially during the fall foliage season. Tours often sell out during the month of October. Advance group reservations are necessary months prior to your planned visit. From 10-24 people: $56.00 flat fee WITH A CONFIRMED RESERVATION. Without confirmed reservations, the fee is $8.00 per person. From 25 - 50 people: $126.00 flat fee WITH A CONFIRMED RESERVATION. Without confirmed reservations, the fee is $8.00 per person. Members of a commercial bus group may not use golden passports, they are intended for private individual use only.

Educational Groups Bonafide educational groups can qualify for a waiver of the user fee. Contact the Reservation Center at 1-800-967-2283 for more information.
