Notes: Padre Vañó had a pock marked face. He was missionary at San Xavier and took over as chaplain for the presidio of Tucson sometime after Arriquibar's death late in 1820. In 1824 he was appointed Father President and went to San Ignacio. From there he was when sent back to Spain in the general expulsion of Spanish-born priests from Mexico.
