Cura, Vicario, y Juez Eclasiastico

Residence:  Nacosari

Race or Tribe:  Español

Notes:  Cura y Vicario del Real de Nacosari y de toda esta jurisdicion.  In early November of 1744, Father Díaz, curate of Nacosari and one of he few secular priests who dared brave the dangers of the Pimeria to visit his scattered parishioners, recorded in the Guevavi book the baptism of Juana Gertrudis de la Luz Rita Ramírez. Father Keller was present too.  In the marriage register he scribbled for Father Díaz's signature a notice of the union of Juan Nicolás de la Higuera and an Apache woman.  In April of 1760 he moved to Fronteras for safety because of the Apache threat at Nacosari.
