Notes: Padre Ximeno entered the Society of Jesus on 29 September 1752 at eighteen years of age. While still a student of theology at Zaragosa, he requested a transfer to the Jesuit Province of Mexico. After more study and his ordination he set out for the northwest. He came to Guevavi in June of 1763. During 1764, he suffered malarial fevers that recurred every few days and gave him no peace. Guevavi was in steady decline. By 1766 there were only fifty persons left. In 1776, he was given the additional responsibility of Bac. He was expelled from Guevavi in July of 1767. He was in the hospice in Cadiz, Spain, on 10 November 1768. From there he was under house arrest at various monasteries in Spain. No one seems to know exactly what happened to Ximeno. He was Guevavi's last resident Jesuit.
