Tumacácori National Historical Park is located at Exit 29 on I-19, 45 miles south of Tucson and 19 miles north of Nogales and the International border.

Open daily 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
FEES
$3.00 per person. All ages under 16 and those with Golden Passports are admitted free.
TOURING
THE PARK
Tumacácori National Historical Park is an easy park to walk around. The Visitor Center and Museum are located next to the parking area. Rest rooms, drinking fountains and picnic tables are available in the park. Self-guiding walks lead through the garden, church, and museum. Ranger guided tours may be arranged at the front desk. For large groups, guided tours must be scheduled ahead of time. Tours last approximately 40 to 60 minutes.
FOR YOUR COMFORT AND SAFETY
We wish your visit to be a safe one and caution you about the hazards of any unfamiliar area: uneven floors, unexpected steps, low doorways, plants, and insects. Please be alert for the safety of yourself and your children. Temperatures can reach 100 degrees or more from May to September. Wear light, comfortable clothes, hat, sunglasses, and comfortable walking shoes. During monsoon season (June - September) bring an umbrella. What is the weather like today?

Mission San Xavier del Bac: Completed in 1797, is still an active church and is one of the finest examples of Spanish Colonial architecture in the United States. It is located south of Tucson on I-19 at Exit 92.
Titan Missile Museum: The only Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) in the world open to the public. Open 7 days a week except Christmas day. 60 minute guided tours begin every half hour. Smithsonian
Institute, Whipple Observatory: Located 43 miles south of
Tucson,
38 miles north of Nogales. The Multiple Mirror Telescope is on the 8550
foot summit of Mt. Hopkins. The MMT is the third largest telescope in
the
world. The MMT is currently being replaced by a new mirror. Call
the observatory to see when the mirror will be installed and when it
will
see first light. The staff at the observatory conducts guided
tours

Tubac Presidio State Park: Protects the ruins of an 18th century Spanish Colonial fort. The museum has exhibits that relate to the history of southern Arizona. Located 45 miles south of Tucson, 22 miles north of Nogales on I-19, Exit 34. (520) 398-2252. FEE. Water, rest rooms, picnic area.
Tubac: The village of Tubac is acknowledged to be the oldest European settlement in Arizona. It contains many shops featuring local artists and crafts persons. located 45 miles south of Tucson, 22 miles north of Nogales on I-19, Exit 34.
Santa Cruz Chili and Spice Company: Home of Santa Cruz Chili! Spices and chili for sale. Also a western museum. Located on I-19, Exit 29, 1/4 mile south of Tumacácori NHP.
Pimeria Alta Historical Society: Museum, library and archives on the history of southern Arizona. Located in Nogales, Arizona, one block from the international border. (520) 287-5402
Patagonia/Sonoita: Famous for its quarter horse and cattle ranches, bird sanctuary and beautiful scenic drive. Located on Highway 82 north of Nogales.
Nogales: Nogales, Arizona and Nogales, Sonora (Mexico) are divided by a fence. You may park on this side and walk across the border to the shopping district without having to obtain a tourist permit. You do not need to exchange your currency; U.S. dollars, traveler's checks and major credit cards are accepted. You do not need a passport. Your driver's license or Social Security card or oral statement that you are a "U.S. Citizen" get you back to the U.S.A.

SERVICES:
Gas: Tumacacori Mini Market, one half mile north, Tubac Market, 4 miles north, and Rio Rico Chevron, 8 miles south provide gas. Other gas stations are located throughout Green Valley and Nogales.
Food: A variety of restaurants are located in Green Valley, Nogales, and Rio Rico There are also three restaurants close to Tumacácori NHP; one right across the street, another 1/4 mile south, and one 2 miles south of the park at the guest ranch. There is also a variety of restaurants in the town of Tubac, 3 miles north of Tumacacori.
General Stores: There are three General Stores in the immediate vicinity, Tumacacori Mini Market, Carmen Store, Tubac Market, which provide food, film, batteries, etc.
Health Services: The McCollough Regional Health Center is located on the east frontage road, half a mile north of the main entrance of Tubac. Right next door is the Tubac Fire Department. Other health services are located in Green Valley and Nogales.
