Notes: Padre Ruiz was born in Yucatan, Mexico.  He came to the College of Querétaro on 20 December 1800.  He came to the Pimeria Alta with Fathers Saravia and Ramirez.  He arrived at Tumacácori in late 1805 and stayed through 1806.  He also served at Cocóspera.  When Father Gutierrez went to Arizpe to draw up new title papers, he left Father Ruiz in charge.  He also served later at San Xavier del Bac.  He died on 25 January 1817 at San Xavier del Bac.
