Notes: Padre Ramirez was born in Puebla de los Angelos, Mexico, but the date is unknown. He was invested with the Franciscan habit 11 December 1798 at the College of Querétaro. Before that he had been a grammar and philosophy teacher at the Colegio Carolino in Puebla. He was ordained at Valladalid (Morelia) on 19 March 1800. In 1802 he went to San Xavier del Bac with Father President Geiger. Padre Ramirez came to Tumacácori during the winter of 1804 - 05 between November and May. Then he went back to Bac. He is said to have taken a good accounting of life at San Xavier by writing to his mother and brother during his stay there. He died at San Xavier del Bac on 26 September 1805.
