Notes:  Born in 1657, Padre Kappus was in Cucurpe by March 1688 and replaced Padre Aguilar.  He was stationed there when he went with Padre Kino to the Gulf of California in 1694.  By 1699 he was at Matape and was still there in 1705, although he had been briefly at Arivechi in October, 1704.
