Notes:  Padre Ibañez was born 26 October 1740 in Tarazona, Spain.  At age sixteen, he entered the Franciscan order at Convento of Nuestra Señora de Jesús in Zaragaza.  He reached the new world with the Mission of 1770 and arrived at the College of San Fernando in Mexico City.  He served from 1774 to 1781 in the Franciscan province of Michoacón.  He had joined the College of Querétaro and came to the Pimeria by 1783.  He was assigned to Saric.  By December 1795 he was at Tumacácori.  In 1797 he went back to Saric.  After sixteen years in the Pimeria Alta he left August 12, 1798.  He came to Monterrey in Alta California three years later.  For more than nineteen more years he was a missionary to Mission San Antonio and Salidad in California where he died.  Padre Ibañez excelled in choir and printing choir books.  He was the author of nativity plays as well.
