The sun can be intense in summer months. Water, hats, and sunscreen are recommended. Sturdy shoes or hiking boots are recommended for the Upper Cliff Dwelling Trail. Sneakers or other good walking shoes are recommended for the Lower Cliff Dwelling Trail.
