Leaves: Grayish, maplelike; covered with hairs; to 2 1/2" long
Booms: year round (each plant establishes its own time)
Elevation: below 3500'
Habitat: roadsides, banks of sandy washes, and flats

Leaf hairs are an irritant to some people. Variants occur with white, pink, purplish, or reddish flowers.
