Sandals
The most common sandals found
in the Lower Cliff Dwelling were woven from
yucca fiber. The sides, toe, and heel were cushioned
by folding the loose ends back and tying them down. They look like modern thongs,
with a strap around the heel keep them from falling off. Yucca sandals were probably
not very comfortable, and people may have gone barefoot a lot.
