Arrowhead
photograph of small arrowhead

Making arrowheads takes a lot of practice, especially one this tiny! It does not seem big enough to hunt anything as large as deer; more likely targets would have been small game, such as birds, rabbits, squirrels, etc. Archeologists have found bones of all these animals in the trash middens, or piles, during excavations.

For a look at other hunting tools, check out the bow, arrow, and clubs.
