Agave Knife
photographs of agave knife and closeup of edge

Stone knives were used to harvest agave. The hearts of these plants were roasted in pits and made a nutritious food, which tastes like molasses. Move your cursor over the photograph to see a close-up view of the serrated edge. This would have been made by carefully chipping away the edge of the blade, possibly using an antler.
