Firepit
This is the only original firepit
left in the Lower Cliff Dwelling. At about
1' in diameter, it doesn't seem big enough to produce much heat, but winter temperatures
in this part of Arizona are usually fairly mild, and since there were no chimneys,
the smoke from a bigger fire would have been unbearable.
