Bow

Bows need to be made from wood
that will bend, but not break; the Salado
often used netleaf hackberry, which grows in the riparian area along the Upper
Cliff Dwelling trail. A notch at each end of the bow holds the bowstring,
which is made of yucca or agave
fiber.
For more information on Salado hunting technology, check out the arrow,
arrowhead, clubs, and shaft
straightener.
