ROUNDUP GROUP HORSE CAMPGROUND 2006 RESERVATION PROCEDURES

GENERAL INFORMATION

• The campsite is open from May 1 to October 31. Check-in and check-out time is noon. Maximum length of stay is 5 days annually. • Water may or may not be available in May and October. • Minimum group size is 6, and maximum group size is 20 people and 20 horses, or 30 people without horses. • Telephone reservations are not accepted. • Requests for reservations are to be postmarked or faxed no earlier than the first Monday of March (March 6 in 2006). The first Monday in March is considered to be the “opening date.” • Requests postmarked or faxed before March 6, 2006, will be rejected. • All reservation requests mailed (assuming regular mail delivery) or faxed on March 6, 2006 have equal chances of obtaining requested dates. • Do not send duplicate requests for the same group. Requests that appear to be duplicates will be discarded. • Processing of reservations begins approximately 10 days after opening date. Requests are sorted by postmark and fax date. All requests faxed or postmarked March 6 will be selected and processed. When all March 6 requests are completed, the process continues with March 7, and each subsequent date. It is not uncommon for the park to receive more requests than can be accommodated. • If the first date requested is not available, alternate dates listed will be considered. • A confirmation letter, or a letter indicating their request was unsuccessful, will be sent to each applicant in late March. • All dates not filled during the initial lottery process are available on a first-come, first-served basis beginning the first Monday of April.

Fee Information

 The fee for 2006 will be $2.00 per person per night and $1.00 per horse per night, with a $20.00 minimum for each night. There is no fee for children under five; however, they are counted to determine group size.

 Payment of $20.00 per night reserved must be received by April 21, 2006 to hold the reservation. This amount will be applied towards the total balance owed for the entire length of stay. Reservations will be cancelled if the deposit is not received by April 21, 2006. Balance of payment is due upon arrival at the park, payable at the entrance station.
