Connie Moody has been selected as the new Chief of Administration at Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Connie came to the park from Appomattox Court House National Historical Park in Virginia where she was the Administrative Officer from 1999 to 2005.

Superintendent Valerie Naylor stated, “We are pleased to have Connie join the park management team. Her experience working with administrative services in a variety of national parks in different regions of the country will be a strong asset to the national park areas in North Dakota.” Connie began her career with the National Park Service in 1988 at Gates of the Arctic National Park & Preserve in Alaska as an Administrative Assistant. She also served as the Purchasing Agent at Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah, Cumberland Gap National Historical Park in Kentucky and at Canaveral National Seashore in Florida.

Connie was born in Illinois, but grew up in North Carolina which she calls home. Connie is a graduate of Lincoln Memorial University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

Connie, her husband Glenn Moody, along with son Benjamin have moved into their home in Dickinson. They are all very excited to be here in North Dakota and are looking forward to exploring the park and the surrounding region.

“I am honored to have been selected as the Chief of Administration at Theodore Roosevelt National park,” said Moody. “I look forward to the many opportunities, recreation and adventures that the park and surrounding communities offer and especially look forward to meeting and working with people and organizations in the area.”

Moody replaces Carolyn Barker who transferred to Capitol Reef National Park in Utah.
