Theodore
Roosevelt Inaugural
National
Historic Site
Conditions
for a Group Visit
- All group tours and education programs are by
reservation only. We request reservations
at least two weeks advance (unless otherwise specified), however it is wise
to schedule your visit further in advance in order to improve your chances
of getting the tour date of your choice. Bear in mind that the capacity of
the building is limited and peak seasons may fill up.
- Payment is due on the day of your visit.
Please have one person make the payments for the group. If contributions are
being collected from group members, please do this prior to entering the Site.
Checks may be made to: Theodore Roosevelt Site.
- The group leader is asked to have a count
of adults, children and seniors in the group prior to arrival. In order to
track our visitation, we will ask the group size when you enter.
- Bus parking is
available directly in front of our building on Delaware Avenue, on the diagonal
lines. This is our reserved bus parking. Private vehicles may park in our
lot to the rear of the building. The lot is on the left side of Franklin Street
(northbound) near North Street. The lot cannot accommodate a bus.
- The Ground Rules
pre-visit activity is required for all school
and children's groups prior to your visit.
- In order to enhance students' learning experience,
teachers are encouraged to make use of additional pre-visit
and post-visit activities.
- If desired, there is space available on-site for lunch.
Food service is not provided, please bring bag lunches. If your class will
have lunch on-site, you must specify so when making reservations.
If you, as a teacher, have any suggestions, please let
us know about them. It is our goal not only to maintain, but to continuously
improve, our programs. If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate
to contact us at (716) 884-0095. Thank you.
