Of 15 species of reptiles found in the park, only four are found on the islands. The islands are difficult for these species to get to even though the islands look so close. The reptiles found in the park include:

snapping turtle*, wood turtle, painted turtle*, Blanding's turtle, box turtle, ringneck snake*, hognose snake, green snake, milk snake Ribbon snake Garter snake* Dekay’s snake* Red-bellied snake Northern water snake Blue racer

* Found on the islands as well as the mainland
