Welcome to the Stony Man Falcon Webcam

Located in Shenandoah National Park, VA.
The camera operates 7am to 9pm (EDT).

Successful nest:

  • Both young flew successfully from the nest site (Male: 5/31/2006, Female: 6/2/2006)
  • Both have been seen in the area around the cliff
  • We are continuing to monitor their progress 
  • The webcams will be empty until next year
  • By mid July, the young falcons will take longer and longer trips from home and will probably disperse/migrate by mid August.

  • Pair returned to site: Late February 2006
  • Began mating: Mid March 2006
  • Began egg laying: Early April 2006
  • Two foster chicks (2 days old) added: 4/26/2006
  • First fledging: Male 5/31/2006
  • Second fledging: Female 6/2/2006
