Shenandoah National Park provides ranger-led education programs for grades 2-7, which directly support the Virginia Science Standards of Learning and the National Science Education Standards. Teachers receive pre-visit and post-visit activities to be used in the classroom. Park rangers lead the in-park programs, which generally last two hours.

Habitats - 2nd or 3rd grade
Adaptations - 3rd or 4th grade
Communities - 4th or 6th grade
Geology - 5th grade
Watersheds - 6th or 7th grade
