Map of the General Grant Tree Trail

Because of the majesty and size of the sequoia, mankind has long had a close relationship with these wonderful trees. People have felled the trees, revered the trees and even lived in a sequoia. The General Grant Grove self-guiding trail is one-third of a mile long and accessible to all people. For descriptions of the numbered stops, purchase a General Grant Grove Trail Guide at the trailhead, park visitor center, or from Sequoia Natural History Association.
*New*You can see some of the sights along the trail on the Virtual Grant Tree Walk.

The General Grant is the world's third largest giant sequoia, and our Nation's Christmas Tree. There are approximately 40 named trees in the Grant Grove.

Bicycles and pets are not permitted on any park trail. Pets should remain in the parking lot, either in your vehicle or attended by someone in your group. Wheelchairs and strollers are welcome on the trail.
