Educational Programs
The park Interpretation Division offers educational programming for area schools
and civic organizations (roughly 1 hour radius from the Battlefield).
Our main program looks at the life of a Colonial-era soldier, using replica
uniforms and implements to help develop an understanding of the soldier's
life.
Scavenger Hunt for Virtual Tour
Want to tour the Battlefield, but can't actually be here? No problem!
We have a virtual tour of the battlefield, AND a "Scavenger Hunt" for your students
as they follow the tour.
Both the Scavenger Hunt and the Answer
Key are available as PDF files. You'll need to print a copy of each for
use with your class. If you don't have a PDF viewer program, downloads
are available for free.
The Scavenger Hunt PDF files aren't very large (under 100KB each), so they
shouldn't take very long to display on your computer.
If you're ready to look at the Virtual Tour, you can begin now.

Our draft Teacher Resource Guide is here, and available as downloadable PDF files!
This set of ready-made resources is designed for use at the elementary and middle-school

Teaching with Historic Places
Teaching with Historic Places (TwHP) uses properties listed in the National Park
Service's National Register of Historic Places to enliven history, social studies,
geography, civics, and other subjects. TwHP has created a variety of products
and activities that help teachers bring historic places into the classroom.
For activities that examine the Battles of Saratoga, check our the Teaching
with Historic Places website.
