Building Friendship: Reports by John Monaghan

October-November 2000: Rigging in Boston at Charlestown Navy Yard

In mid-October of this year, Friendship was moved south to the Charlestown Navy Yard and moored in front of the U.S.S. Constitution. There in Boston, she will have her upper masts and yards installed as National Park Service riggers and carpenters work in conjunction with Constitution's maintainance and repair staff. While Friendship is in Boston, Jeremy finds plenty of work to keep us volunteers busy with the enormous amount of rigging work to be done.
