MAIN ARTILLERY RAMP - This vaulted passageway leads from Level V down to the lower parts of El Morro. For your own safety, please use the stairways on the sides rather than the incline itself, and watch your step when it is wet from a passing shower. Imagine the effort it would take to raise or lower a cannon which weighed 4 to 5 tons down this long slope using only rope, tackle, and manpower.
