| Established in
2001, the Continental Divide research learning Center
connects researchers, resources, and the general public. Publications
and events that feature the work of active park researchers
are sponsored by the center. Opportunities to volunteer by
providing field assistance to researchers are also available.
The Continental Divide Research Learning
Center is part of a National Park Service initiative to improve
science-based management of parks and to increase the public's
awareness of the value of research in parks. It supports the
research programs of three Colorado NPS units: Rocky Mountain
National Park, Great Sand Dunes National Monument and Preserve,
and Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument.
