Begin your visit at the
Richmond National Battlefield Park Visitor Center at 470 Tredegar Street,
where exhibits and audio visual programs introduce the history of the
1861-1865 defense of Richmond. Park interpreters will answer your questions
and provide more information on historical events or upcoming park Living History Programs and other
events. Smaller Visitor Centers with exhibits are open at Chimborazo
Medical Museum and Cold Harbor Battlefield and seasonally at Fort Harrison
Battlefield and the Glendale Cemetery Lodge. Chickahominy Bluff,
Malvern Hill, Fort Harrison, and Drewry's Bluff have intrepretive signs and
audio stations. Whenever possible, spend some time walking in each area; it
is the best way to gain an understand of the battlefields. Gaines' Mill,
Chickahominy Bluff, Fort Harrison, Fort Brady and Drewry's Bluff have short
