Pets

If you bring your pet…

Pets are not allowed on any trails
Pets must remain on a leash under six feet (2 m) in length
Leashed pets are allowed at Crescent and Gold Bluffs beaches, all road-accessible picnic areas, the parking area of Thomas H. Kuchel Visitor Center, the Freshwater Lagoon Spit, and state park campgrounds and roads
Only guide animals are allowed in park buildings or at interpretive programs

Bicycles

If you bring your bicycle…


Bicycles only allowed on designated trails
Children under 18 must wear a helmet


General regulations

While enjoying the parks...


Do NOT approach wildlife! Attracting, calling, or feeding wildlife is illegal.
You are welcome to harvest berries, but plants, mushrooms, and flowers are protected; removal is prohibited
California fishing licenses are required for freshwater and ocean fishing
Camp and build fires only in pemitted areas
Stop by a visitor center for fire collecting rules and fire permits
Tidepool collecting is not permitted
Do not hunt, trap, or carry loaded or assembled firearms on park lands
Damaging or removing any government sign, structure, or marker is prohibited
Climbing on an old-growth tree is prohibited
