The smoke has cleared but the images shall live on in our hearts and minds forever.

It is with great reverence that the Presidio Fire Department extend our sympathy and our prayers to all those who perished in World Trade Center and to their loved ones left behind.

The selfless actions of our fallen firefighters, placing themselves in harm's way to protect the citizens of New York, and of our country, were above and beyond the call of duty. In so doing, they distinguished themselves in the greatest tradition of the American fire service.
