Gretchen Ward is the Cultural Resource Program Manager and
Archeologist for Petroglyph National Monument . She began her career with the federal government as a park ranger at Cabrillo National Monument in 1985 and has worked as an archeologist with the federal government since 1992. She earned bachelors degrees in anthropology and history at San Diego State University and a masters degree in anthropology at the University of New Mexico .
