National Monument Field Workshop Sessions Thursday, September 20, 2007 |
|
| Three sites have been selected at Petroglyph National Monument for field workshop sessions on the second day of the workshop. The monument is located on the westside of Albuquerque and was established in 1990. It is cooperatively managed by the National Park Service and the City of Albuquerque. The monument comprises over 7,200 acres and contains over 20,000 petroglyphs. | |
| All workshop participants are required to select one of the three sites. When registering, please select a first and second option. Participants will have the opportunity to elect which one of the sites is best suited for their level of physical ability—ranging from moderate to more strenuous hiking. Lunches will be provided to all registrants. A field session leader will provide an overview of central issues and participants are asked to generate observations for further group discussion. Everyone will reconvene in SUB Ballroom C the next morning to be divided into smaller discussion groups. Each group should select a representative to provide a summary of their findings to all workshop participants. The following is a tentative schedule for the field session(s): | |
