Ranger Visits your Classroom



Education at Petroglyph National Monument
Using Park Resources to educate, inspire, and motivate students.

Most in-class programs are about one hour long. Educational programs are free.

 
  Ranger visits your classroom
• Travel trunk: Park Ranger can visit your classroom with a traveling trunk.
Ancestral Puebloan Lifestyle trunk: Provides students a hands-on experience with replica tools and objects used by Ancestral Puebloans.
Geology trunk: Provides students a hands-on experience with rocks commonly found in New Mexico.


• Visual slide programs can be developed to meet your curriculum needs.

Petroglyph National Monument offers a Teachers Guide for sale in the Visitor Center. The teachers guide offers several different activities for the students to complete prior or during the visit to the park.

Special program development is also available.
