El trabajo que se presentará es producto de la convivencia de un pequeño equipo de investigadores del Centro INAH Sonora, conformado por dos antropólogos y dos arqueólogos, con la comunidad o´ob durante los recorridos por veredas y arroyos, subiendo y bajando laderas, admirando impresionantes paisajes y disfrutando las horas de conversación con niños, mujeres y hombres o'ob , rodeados de hermosas e impresionantes montañas. Localizando y registrando sitios arqueológicos con grabados y pinturas rupestres. Es importante mencionar el apoyo y la presencia en los recorridos del misionero franciscano David Joseph Beaumont Pfeifer, OFM. Cap, mejor conocido en la región de Yécora como el Padre David. Todos reunidos en la búsqueda del mensaje de las rocas.

“The Message from the Rocks: Pictographs in the Region of Yécora , Sonora ”

The research that will be presented is the result of the time that a small team of researchers from Centro INAH-Sonora, comprised of two anthropologists and two archaeologists, spent living with the O'ob community. The time was spent hiking through trails and arroyos, ascending and descending hillsides, admiring impressive landscapes and, while surrounded by beautiful and amazing mountains, enjoying hours of conversation with O'ob children, women, and men. The team located and surveyed archaeological sites with petroglyphs and pictographs. It is important to mention the support given to us during our excursions by Franciscan missionary David Joseph Beaumont Pfeifer, OFM. Cap—better known in the Yécora region as Father David.
