SIEGE IQ CHALLENGE INFANTRY LEVEL Select one the questions. Your answers must be typed, 1-2 (maximum)one-sided pages long, footnoted, and with a seperate page for your bibliography. You must use at least three different sources. Your answer will be judged for its structure, its completeness, and its attention to the rules of grammar and style. How well you present your opinion is the sole criteria for earning the Infantry Badge. Did the Siege of Petersburg insure the demise of Gen. Lee's army or did it keep the army alive longer than it could have hoped for otherwise? Or both? In the last year of the war, should the abilities of Gen. Lee and Gen. Grant be based on the individual merits of the three distinct campaigns or on the final outcome of the eleven months of fighting as a whole? Why?
