Most of the Commemorative Motor Route is on two-lane state or U.S. highways suitable for large vehicles, including RV, buses, and cars or trucks with trailers. There are limitations and special circumstances at specific facilities.
Colonial Road
Two lanes, narrow, with some sharp curves. Requires crossing railroad tracks to reach U.S. 11 at north end (traveling toward Va. 75).

Two lanes, shifting at some traffic lights for turn lanes.
Virginia 75
Multiple lanes within Abingdon, with turning traffic and congestion. Outside Abingdon, two lanes, narrow, with some sharp curves between Abingdon and the Tennessee line.
