In addition to camping facilities along the trail, commercial hotels, motels, and campgrounds are also available at Chesnee, Gaffney, Kings Mountain (NC), and Gastonia (NC).

Kings Mountain State Park

RV, tent sites, camping sites for individuals or groups with horses

Crowders Mountain State Park

This North Carolina park is at the northeast end of the Kings Mountain range and provides camping facilities.
