This is the lake where Hollywood filmed the canoe race in "The Last of the Mohicans." The historic trail from Linville Mountain to Quaker Meadows lies underneath the lake waters. Enjoy spectacular views of Shortoff Mountain, which with Linville Mountain, forms the Linville Gorge.
