Events at Kings Mountain National Military Park:

Saturday, May 5, 2001 - Fourth Kings Mountain Forum: The KMF is intended to promote discussions and study of what the late reenactor William Hall called the "Kings Mountain War." The day ends with a concert featuring music about the colonial period and the Revolutionary War.

Sunday, October 7th, 2001, 3:00 p.m. - 221st Anniversary of the Battle of Kings Mountain: KMNMP, along with partner organizations such as the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), Sons of the American Revolution (SAR), Sons of the Revolution and the Overmountain Victory Trail Association (OVTA), will honor those who fell at the Battle of Kings Mountain. The ceremony will begin with the arrival of the members of the OVTA in the park amphitheater. A keynote address will be followed by a wreathlaying ceremony at the U.S. Monument.
