October 27, 2003 The foot log over 39-Mile Creek washed out. The horse and hiker camps have erosion damage and debris flow activity. The extent of the damage is unconfirmed, though it is usually the case that the camps have erosion and debris flow damage when the creek damages the foot log. Trails Storm Damage, Cascade Pass Trail, Basin Creek, MP 1.4 Basin Creek bridge abutments are gone. The bridge is a small seasonal bridge (removable deck) 40 feet in length. Basin Creek Camp (6 campsites, 10 tent pads) adjacent to this bridge was inundated by the Basin Creek debris flow. No photo available. October 27, 2003 Rock and debris flows at three locations are each 10 feet wide and 6 feet deep. Trail tread has been lost 5 feet across where the dry wall washed out in a steep-traverse segment. The slump is 4 feet deep. Trails Storm Damage, Fisher Creek Trail, trail bridge The 50-foot long, double stringer bridge on the Fisher Creek Trail is gone without a trace.
