What technologies do we use today and how do they differ from those used by Northwest native peoples? In what ways are they the same? How are they different? Are the tools we use today better, worse or about the same?
On the left side of a large sheet of paper or the board in the front of your classroom, write a list of today's technologies. On the right side, compare these with what native peoples would have used as an alternative. Each item on the left should be matched with one on the right. Are there any items that do not have a match? Should there be?
