Skagit Eagle Song

Objectives: Students will create their own Skagit River eagle song, record it and have their song posted on this web site.

Materials: Computer with sound card and microphone.

Procedure

Have your students write and record a song (rap, hip-hop, folk song, etc.). about bald eagles and salmon. The song must relate to the ecology of the Skagit River.

  1. Record the song using a microphone plugged into a computer. Your computer must have a sound card and sound recording software. Be sure that the words are audible.
  2. Save file as wav, mp3, or Quicktime format.
  3. Send the sound file and the words of the song to paula_ogden@nps.gov and we will post your music on Dances with Eagles.
