Permits available at Ranger Stations on a first-come, first-served basis up to a day in advance. • No NPS backcountry permit needed for Lake Chelan boat-in sites. Use of all federal docks on Lake Chelan requires a U.S. Forest Service dock permit, costing $5 per day or $40 for the season (May 1 through October 31).
