Touring Guide to Sites

LENORE

Lenore interpretive signs are located in a highway rest area on the north side of U.S. Highway 12 about 25 miles east of Lewiston, Idaho.

Today the site is covered by highly maintained lawns and trees, but was once a Nez Perce village. An archeological excavation revealed continuous habitation at this site for over 8,000 years.
